Getting started with Quite Revealing (Windows)

To install Quite Revealing, you can just double click
on the setup.exe file in this folder, then continue to step
4 below..

1. Make sure you have what you need

You should have a disk or folder containing Quite Revealing
for Windows, and unless you only want to run a demonstration,
you should have a your personal serial number and private code.
You should be running Windows 95 or later (including Windows 98,
Me, NT4, 2000, XP). You should have installed the full commercial
Acrobat 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 or 7.0 package. Make sure Acrobat is not running.

2. Find the plug-ins folder

Starting with your My Computer icon, locate the folder
containing Acrobat plug-ins. If you haven't changed
the default it will be
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 4.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 4.0,
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 5.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 5.0,
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 6.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 6.0,
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 6.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 7.0.

3. Copy the plug-in and guide

Open the folder containing Quite Revealing. On the original
Quite CDROM this is English\Products\Quite Revealing.
Drag the two QREV32 files (these may both appear to be
called qrev32, or they may show up as qrev32.api and
qrev32.pdf) from the disk into the plug-ins folder.
Note: you must drag these two files...do not drag the whole
folder.

4. Start Acrobat

If all is well, you will now have a new menu item Plug-ins >
Quite Revealing. Run this and, unless you are already a
licensed user, you will see a screen About Quite Revealing.
If you have a license code, click Licensing to enter it now.
If you do not have a license code, click Free Trial for a 30
day free trial.

If you want to stop using the plug-in simply remove the two
QREV32 files you copied above. If you are not using any other
Quite Software plug-ins you can also remove the folder Quite
which will have been created in your plug-ins folder.
